Architecture & Record
Architecture is defined as the science of construction, and therefore includes
any type of building, whether it be churches, houses, bridges, monuments etc.
Traditionally, photography of the genre would typically have been
ecclesiastical, but modern design and construction methods have produced a
wide variety of photogenic structures. The principal stipulation is that any such
image must be an accurate representation of what is before the photographer.
Therefore, composites which add or remove elements are not permitted.
Judges will generally look for geometrically accurate images and will penalize
distorted images and converging verticals.
